How do I exit Advanced Start in Charlemagne scenario?

I hit shift-enter for 10 turns and it doesn't exit, it just stays in the advanced start mode. (It does this too in Defense, but I think it's intentional).
How do I get into normal gameplay? Is there a key I have to press?

There's a button in the top left to finish the advanced start mode. I believe it literally says "Finish". It's near where the money keeps count that you're spending as you place units.
