How do I kill Hyborem?

I read in the wiki that the way to kill an Immortal unit is to kill him twice in one turn. In my last game as the Infernals I killed Basium when I found wandering alone between my cities. In my current game as the Ljosfolar, I have all my heroes outside the last Infernal city. A couple of suicide attacks, and then I'm ready for Yvain with Orthus Axe to finish the job. Except every time I kill Hyborem, he comes back! This happened about five times. Any idea what's going on here?

Is this happening with the .21 version and the latest patch? That was certainly the case with the .20 version and patches prior to either b or c (not sure which).

What he said--this was a problem, and it should have been fixed.
I'll add that that line about killing them twice only applies to the actual Immortal unit--the one upgraded from macemen. Hyboream and Losha Valas, and anyone who gets the immortal promotion from blood of the phoenix, will lose immortality the first time they are killed, and not get it back when reborn.
So it works fine to kill them twice in two different turns.

Yeah, I used to that get the most powerful unit I've ever tried, so upgraded he couldn't get more upgrades :>
