How do I load a saved mod game?

Hi

I started playing the excellent EE mod and got a n00b question: How do I load a saved game? Do I first fire up Civ IV, then load the mod which reloads the game and then load my save game? Or do I simply load the saved game like with any normal Civ session?

load the game, the game looks in your saved file, and recognices a mod on your save, it says it need the ...mod for this game to load, press ok and enjoy
