Hello, I have recently migrated from CIV2 to CIV3. On Civ 2, all you had to do to load army units onto ships was to set the ship adjacent to land and the press a single key to load them. Unloading was done by pressing the 'U' beside land. Has this been done away with in CIV 3? I have tried to load land units onto galleys, galleaons, frigates etc but threy won't join the ship. What am I doing wreong?

The L will load any units that are allowed as long as they are in the town with the ship and they have movement left. Outside the town move them into the ship as if it were any other point.

just walk them onto a ship and they will enter it; if the unit has movement left and the ship has enough capacity.

One quick word,.. you can't load units into frigates. They are attack vessels.

I too miss the days when I could send units to a town, put them on sentry and have them board the boat automatically when it was built. <<<sigh>>>

I used to exploit that by lining up ships in Civ 1 and having 1 ship end its turn where the next ship starts. Fast way to move armies. In Civ III the best I've figured out is how to do this with two ships. (Stop a square short and unload from one ship to the next). Is there Anyway to line up three ships or more?
