How do I make old games to not run so fast?

I'm trying to play Supaplex and every time I press a key the pacman thingie moves half a screen. How do I fix this?

Well - you can try with the compatibilty option (at the exe file's Properties) - this sometimes works

But DOSBox it made especially for this sort of thing. You can manualy adjust it.
