How Do I Stop the Instant Unit Movements?

I've been playing Civ3 for quite some time now. The game was working fine on my somewhat recent laptop. For some reason all of my unit movements are moving instantly so I do not see them move from square to square. It use to be a nice slow movement so you would get the full effect of the unit moving. Now they simply slide very fast to the selected sqaure and move onto the next unit without being able to see where they ended up. I'm guessing I must've selected a parameter to do this. I did not mean to do it if I did. Does anyone know how I can turn off this feature? I'm sure I hit a shortcut by mistake. I do not remember changing anything within the Preferences. I also checked the Preferences section within Civ3 but did not see anything that would effect this. Any information would be apprecitated.

Thanks for your time!

There's an option for that.
Like click "Animate friendly, foe, your own automated and manual moves" thingy thing in the Preference menue.

Cheers.

What is Shift lock? I do not see anything on my keyboard that says "Shift Lock".

All of my Animation options are selected. I never un-selected anything. Hmmm.....

Holding down shift has the same affect on the animations. It could be that you have Caps Lock on and this is having the same affect.

I had it on my laptop and it was a crumb stuck under the key .. stop eating biscuits and spraying cumbs over the keyboard while laughing at the AI's latests ridiculous demand.

you can stop auto completly by double clicking on the unit...i always mess up with that though and start sending units everywhere

I don't think he was talking about auto movement but rather the lack of a run anim. :)
