How do you ensure all mods are removed?

I've installed a lot over the last few months and I want to make sure my Civ6 is 'clean' when a new patch drops so that I can check to see how all the changes affect the game.

All mods should show up under additional content. Just disabling them doesn't remove them from any existing saved games.
They would also be under your
\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Mods
folder if you want to remove them. Saved games with mods that no longer exists cannot be loaded.

Just ensuring they aren't loaded is enough. Unload all the mods, or ensure they're never loaded in the first place (not sure which way it works in Civ 6). Restart the game if you have to do the former, just to be sure. If the latter, restarting is unnecessary (and infinitely loopy (as in, an infinite loop you will never escape)).

Don't some mods replace some game files too? I vaguely remember installing a mod where I had to overwrite original files (not in the DLC/mods folder)
