How do you manually add art assets?

I can't use mod buddy, I have a mac. Is there a way to upload images to a mod without it? I've already tried and just can't figure it out

You cant, because you need to use modbuddy to compile/cook/bake art assets. I'm on a mac aswell though, but I'm using windows/bootcamp, problem solved!

@SlySlySly you could do as @vectorplexus, run bootcamp and install windows or you could download virtualbox or vm player to launch a virtual machine with windows on it.

Sorry, I neglected to mention that it's not working for me. Asset Editor is bugged and won't open.
