How do *you* pronounce Dido?

Dido never surrenders, she'll stand there with her last city burning, her army dead and all tiles pillaged, and then come along and quip me with an insult.

I. Hate. Her.

I'd compare Carthage's martial prowess in the first Punic war to Sparta. Also during this period we see archaeological evidence they used children in burnt offerings. They were very blood-thirsty and tough.

After that, the aristocracy got rather plump and generals like the Barcas were "fond reminders, relics of an earlier age of greatness." The "fat bodies" got too insulated in their trade income and extravagancies and that spelled doom at the hands of Scipio Africanus. They didn't leave Hannibal a damn thing to "work with".

I'm a huge Roman history buff, so I appreciate the info.

I just feel the AI should be a tad more "organic" than what civ 5 is at the moment

Dido, just like you spell it. Although for some stupid reason I have started calling her "Ding Dong" as of late. "Yo, Ding Dong! Want my extra crabs?"

Yes, I am immature, I know.

Shakespeare had it rhyme with 'widow', so...
.. So it makes you wonder how Shakespeare pronounced 'widow'
Other words that rhyme with widow include: barrow, beau, billow, borrow and bureau. Sorry couldn't think of a rhyming word beginning with "by."
