how do you scout opponents late game?

If you research sattelites, the whole map is revlealed.

I miss the map trading option.

I never use maptrading... its a prelude to an invasion (I like to pick the moments of war myself as much as possible). I do mis espionage though, maybe it will be included in dlc or an expansion.

I'm surprised you can't get open borders..? Usually the AIs on the other continent are easy to keep sweet enough to get open borders. Have you tried offering 5x-10x the usual OB amount? Sometimes the AIs will open borders, but they want more than just 50 gold to do it.

Did you piss the AIs on the other continent off somehow?
