How do you take a map from WB and test it?

A friend and I created a map and I want to test it. How do I turn this into a mod? The scenario is about ancient Greece, and I wanted to apply a mod to it so the game does not go past the Classical Era also. Thanks for any help. I am completely lost when it comes to modding this new game.
