How does Civ4 runs on your computer?

oh, i didn't mentioned my machine: amd64 3800+, 2 gigs of corsair ram and a overclocked geforce 6800 ultra.

and civ4 still crashes a lot and gets laggy in the endgame on larger maps Oo

Mine runs great with low graphics settings, and it really speed up in the late game with the v1.52 patch. Check out my signature for my computer specs.

Running a piece of junk, xp 2600, 768 ram 9200 card

runs fine with the patch, medium graphics on large maps. Cant play huge but no big deal.

Runs smooth with low graphic settings on a standard map. However huge maps get some annoying lag issues in late game. Even with minemal graphic settings.

Mine runs great on my laptop @ medium graphics settings
Intel 3.2 gHz with HT
2 x 512MB RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon 9000-64MB
Ever since I installed 512 more megs RAM, it runs almost flawlessly. Even the wonder movies are smooth.
My desktop runs it okay. Don't play it much there though
Intel 1.6 gHz
640MB RAM
OLD Nvidia GeForce MX440-64MB
I am getting a new desktop next week that should outperform my laptop easily plus with a 19" digital flat panel, so I'm sure that will be where I play it then!

Pentium, 2.4 gHz
512 MB RAM
Radeon 9200 128 MB

I am able to play any size of map, although large and bigger get very slow. No crashes, but often gets choppy. I have to use low-res textures and low end graphic options. I dont mind, since I dont play CIV for the graphics.

Mine: 256MB GeForce FX5200, 640MB RAM, but only a 1.3 GHz Pentium 4 in it.

I can run the game better than I had hoped, to be honest. I can handle Large maps without much difficulty, and the vast majority of the slowdown at the end of the game is from my old Audigy (no, not Audigy 2...just Audigy) finally giving out after loading 4 or 5 ages' worth of music changes and sound effects.

Double your RAM and patch the game as soon as you get it.

Don't play bigger than Standard Map and be patient with game turn times after about 1500 AD

And save up your gold for a flash system like spearthrower!!!
And exactly this just cannot be the solution!
It was meant to be a game of rewriting world's history, not of the one of a small archiple somewhere in smooth waters.

Snaps. Everyone has way good computers. I have one computer that runs the game, another one which has a video card that crashes it because it was from '01, and also a labtop that will not run the game, cause it is a labtop.
