How does spell extension work?

I've looked in the FAQ and searched the forum but can't find anything that answers it conclusively. Does it extend the duration of spells or amplify their effect or something?

Increases the range of the casters spells by 1.

I would want to suggest to make this description more specific. Eg as a FfH noob I assumed spell extension would work for all spells as the description you give suggests, but it doesn't affect eg casting Haste. It still only affects the units in the caster's tile itself instead of all the surrounding tiles.

I know spell extension gives summons the mobility promotion, but for the rest I still don't have clue what it does or even if it does anything else. A full list of the spells it affects would really be appreciated!

Ah thanks. :)
May I therefore suggest to change the description to:

Increases the range of the caster's targeted spells by 1, and gives summons the mobility promotion.

By summons to you mean skeletons/treants or just fireballs/meteors?

It is the strangest thing for the "cool" kids to be able to post below the limit.
Like, as if thats the "hip" thing.

"Check me out, I can post below the limit..."
And then all the peers oo and ahh, and wish they were cool too.
Its like the rebel without a cause. "I dont follow anyones rules, not even my own."

EDIT: Next thing Civfanatics will be offering merchandise - leather jackets that say "I can post below the limit" on the back in cursive writing.

Half a minute of trying stuff revealed a way to write too-short posts:
Just put a long row of spaces between words.

Code:
1 2

That'd be acceptable content for a post, and look like

1 2

in the result.
