How does the Mod interact with "No Tech Brokering"

I just downloaded the Better AI Mod, and will try it shortly. I am presently using Solver's 3.17 Mod.

In the standard game, I like to play with "No Tech Brokering" ticked, as it avoids the micromanagement aspect of tech trading and also having your hated enemy pick up the tech you just traded away. However, I think it handicaps the AI (Monarch/Epic/Standard). (On the other hand, I get annoyed when a Civ has 18 cities to my 8 and is at par with me largely due to trading.) Without no tech brokering, I find the AI does not pay enough of a price for city spamming. I also like the slower pace of the eras with no tech brokering on epic.

I prefer standard maps. While I like the diplomacy of large maps, I don't like facing stacks of 40+ units. I am a builder type and never "axe rush". I usually play Raging Barbs, weaker Civs (never financial) and randomize AI personalities to make the game more interesting. I tried Emperor with financial leaders and find it makes the game unfun, too hard and generally unappealing.

So how does the Mod handle no tech brokering. Can the AI keep pace?

To date, not much has change directly on this front. A few other changes will have some side-effects on how the AI researches (anything affecting war decisions, city placement ...), but nothing direct. Yakk has outlined a plan for city specialization in another thread which will help the AI keep pace in the later eras, but it will be a while before it's included and finalized.
