How many Civilization capitals have you visited?

I got 10 of 78.
London, Edinburgh, Paris, Venice, Istanbul (Constantinople), Washington DC, Delhi, New York, Honolulu.

And Amsterdam and Athens airports, but I know that does not count.

So many more places left to visit!

Only 3.
Cambridge -> Pyongyang -> Beijing -> Moscow -> Kaching!

17. Londoner who lived in the US for 2 years. Annoyingly been to Tokyo but not Kyoto, should have done that 2 day trip when I had the chance.

Though I have no idea what capital Jamestown, Virginia is supposed to represent.
I believe it was the capital of the English colony in one (or both) of the Colonization games.

My astounding total is: 0. I have been to New York City, but I didn't see it on the list and I don't recall it ever being a capital in any iteration of the game.

I was 15 (Europe and North America places)

New Amsterdam, which was the first name of New York City when the Dutch founded it, was the capital of New Holland in Civilization IV: Colonization, I think it is on the list.

London, Edinburgh, Dublin, Paris, Rome. Been to some CS's as well :p

Ah, you've done a poll including CS's. There's two Capitals you've missed that appear in Civ V - Douglas, Isle of Man, and Belfast, Northern Ireland.

22 (US, Western Europe and East Asia).

My son (who is also an avid Civ player) and I actually did a trip in 2015 that specifically included Rome, Vienna, Amsterdam, Athens and Istanbul to show him a number of Civ V wonders.

9 for me. Singapore (where I live), Kuala Lumpur, Malacca, Auckland, Melbourne, Hanoi, Edinburgh, London, New Amsterdam (New York).

Is there a similar thread for natural wonders too? I just moved to Jakarta from the US and plan to do a day trip to Krakatao some day just because I have seen it in Civ so many times.. And seeing Borobudur finally next week :)

Canberra, Manila, Ha Noi, Jakarta, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Bamako, Kinshasa, Accra, Vientiane,

Were you born in Melbourne? Only those people born there believe it to be the centre of civilisation.
Neither Melbourne nor Auckland, are National capitals, and New York isn't a capital at all.

Please review the thread more carefully before criticizing other users' posts. In this case, the linked list of capitals (http://www.listchallenges.com/civilisation-capitals-and-city-states-in-sid) includes every capital of a major civ or city-state in every civ game and scenario. Melbourne was a city-state in Civ V, Aukland is a city-state in Civ VI, and New Amsterdam (New York) was a capital in Civ IV: Colonization (as were Jamestown and Quebec City).

With the new updated list it's up to 36 thanks to living in Hong Kong for a year in the 80's and an internship in New Zealand in the 90's, with a trip to Australia on the side. (plus quite a few other European cities that were added to the list that I've spent a little time in). My big gaps are Africa, South America, West and Central Asia - and embarrassingly enough the Native American sites here in my home country of the US.
