How many Great Scientists you got?

In a single game, how many SGL's you ever get?
In a recent Emperor level game, I got 3 solely in Industry age.

If I had the time to play out my HOF Space Race try, probably about 5. So far, only 3.

I have only gotten one in a game. Probably cause I don't research anything myself until I learn Steam Power.

I think I had 4 or 5 as Spain. That was fairly low-level, so basically I did all the research.

Oh yeah, in a RAR I got already 4 SGLs halfway through the game...

I should confess, if I'm going to say something against RaR for this, that my game was atypical as well. Stock rules and everything, but I was playing a 20k run on Chieftain for an HoF attempt. Eight is still high, even for that, though, just ask LulThyme . I was, of course, Scientific, as Babylon.

BTW, then it is determined if the scientist gonna appear? At the turn of discovery? I mean, is it possible to delay research to farm the leader (with save/load)?

I've had 4 in a game before...and they seem to pop up at the same techs that I've noticed...

Mathematics, Philosophy, Chemistry, Theory of Gravity, Medicine, Electronics are the techs that I recall that I've received SGL's from.

I have 10+ MGLs by 310BC in my Sid game, but I gon't have much hope for SGL... The only tech I got first was Literature, and it probably will stay this way for ages...
