...to destroy a city.
I had a plan to take out a civs capital city by nuking a near by city, and running in and taking it from their much more advanced army and then housing additional nukes there to nuke the capital to dust and hopefully win the game (we were the last 2 civs and there was NO WAY I could take them down with troops (they had a TON))
Anyway. I built 6 Abombs and 2 nukes, thinking that would be enough.
I used an abomb on the city first and it's "energy" bar went down about 75%... I was thinking this would work out nicely....
The next 4 boms I launched did next to nothing to the city and it wouldn't go down beyond that...
I launched the final a bomb and FINALLY it was destroyed when I launched the first nuke...
I launched my last nuke at the capital and it did (again) about 75% damage to the city...
This made me think nukes were better, perhaps, since it was the nuke that did any secondary damage to the city and finally destroyed it.
Frustrated... I reloaded (I don't normally do this) and launched the nukes first, hoping to take the city out and have a least some part of my plan...
First nuke... 75% damage...
2nd nuke,,,
... barely noticeable....
6 a bombs later... the city still stood...
I know damage is somewhat random but what city can withstand that kind of firepower??
Is there some diminishing returns damage system for re-bombing places or is this some sort of bug?
