I think I submitted my GOTM game on Nov 3 or 4. It was the first Civ 3 game I completed, so I did not do well at all. I think I was eliminated quite early in the game.

I thought I was going to be done last night. I stayed up until nearly midnight to get to 2020AD, just to discover that's not when the Regent game ends (I'm used to playing King in Civ II).
I'm hoping to finish tonight. My goal in the game has been to just survive, as it's my first CIV III game. After discovering the Aztecs as neighbors, I managed to get the Lighthouse built first and get off the island after building 3 cities. I've been getting killed by corruption. I thought about going to Democracy, but I've got nearly 40 units and I didn't think I could afford the support. So far I got the Pyramids, the Lighthouse, the Chapel, Smiths Harbor, the Forbidden Palace and the CIA. I'm hoping to get Wall Street and maybe a shot at the Hoover Dam before 2050 gets here. No way to make space, conquer the world (with military or culture) or get to the UN, so I've only got the turn limit to end the game. I've managed to get from 4th to 2nd after building the GW in the 1600's. I've got a shot at the top if I can keep pushing the culture. I'm tempted to take out the Zulu, but that might over extend by little empire. I should be finishing tomorrow night.

Well I have kinda took a break from my game
I just entered the last era which i have no prior experence with, so I have played a few side games to build up some ideas on how to win later in the game.
As long as my score in my GOTM continues to rise i will keep stalling my win. I have wiped out everyone but the americans who tremble on there home island. While i control every other island, I am getting tech as fast as i can and building wonders right and left.
I hope to end with a score around 1500+ but right now i am getting close to 1000

I just submitted the game. I started out conquering the world and could have done so, but all other aspects of the game were left behind, because all my resources were going into warfare. so I stopped with about 2/3 of the map and focused on culture, happiness and science. I don't know if that was the right decision though, cause my score compared to the other civs semed to level off.
Anyway, that was my first civ3 game and I would say that was the most fun I had playing civ, along with the first time I played the original.

Just got done. was going for high score at end of game. but got a culture victory by acident. Aztez declare war early on and it was a strugle to stay alive then got imortals and a leader. Made a nice army with 2 elite, 1 verteran imortals, and then it was a slow death for the aztez. then babalons declare war and got most of them. Then peace for the rest of the game.
Massive corruption because I was so big, but I just keep making money and doing rush builds.

How did you get the leader, i'm now tired of fighting the aztecs and didn't get any leader yet, even when all my attacking units (immortals) are elite! Even in my first game in Civ 3, where i was Militaristic (Romans) i still wasn't able to get no leader through the entire game (i finished in 3rd position in 2050AD by time out)!
Anyway i'm almost out of the Acient Times, mostly because i started the game 2 days ago, and haven't played that much time!
BTW Matrix, while playing GOTM 01, i think i found a major bug in Civ 3 (a real big one)! But i'm not sure i should discuss it here! What do you suggest?

I started out very aggresive, but after killing everyone on my island I tried building my culture. Unfortunately, corruption was crippling me and I was falling behind the Americans technologically, so I went back to all-out war. Swarmed the Americans (I love those immortals!) and won by conquest.
