How many of you play past 2020?

re: the throne room: I have developed everything. Your not missing anything spectacular.

re: playing after 2020? usually. I do it if I have an itch to scratch - an itch like killing the red herrings civs that have bothered me. I am a true perfectionist, I hate toleave things undone.

Well, i never play after 2020, because either a) i have finished before or b) the game is going so badly, that there is no point of carrying on.
I have noticed that I don't play a lot of single player games anymore (only GOTMs) and go for multiplayer, cause that is so much more fun.

I played beyond 2020 at the beginning... just to decide that what I really, really wanted was to start again.

I've never played past that year...

Sometimes I even find it dificult to finish my game when only a few AIs are left...

Did it once for a few turns. Won't do it again. There's just no point.

Sometimes I will, as I can't usually be bothered building a spaceship. An added incentive to playing past 2020 is if I have a fun naval war going, with lot's of carrier strikes.

If I am playing that long I will usually cheat and play the last AI then place troops from the last AI city outside my old capital and let them sack the city. Keep cheating and taking the larger civs capital and you can have 5 "Rebel" civs pop up from your old empire. Then go back to your empire and try to unite your fallen kingdom <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

Not very often really. It happens, it does, but not often. Usually if I even get as far as 2020 without having won the game ( usually only on higher difficulties or when I don't concentrate enough on playing ) I am generally rather tired of the game and is happy to let it be done with and hop on to the next game.

But on the few occasions I still harbor an undying grudge against some computer, say one I have been at odds with for several centuries then and fought with but never quite defeated or been defeated by, I can occasionally stick around to annihilate said adversary totally, and usually take his thrice bedamned allies with him. But that's just me... :goodjob:

Wow. It looks like no one plays past the 2020. I always play until all the enemy civs are gone. Of course for me it is more fun near the end when there is much more stuff to do. Like several cities finishing their improvments every turn or dozens of engineers to play with.
