How Many 'Shafernators' are there?

So with a total of over 1000 hours played I have achieved what appears to be the most strenuous achievement on the list so far, was wondering if there are any others out there to have accomplished this. I could have gotten it a lot sooner if not for the 100 units bit, never needed more than 20 or so. Had to spam missles for 10 mins or so after completing a game to finish it. Anyway, need to determine how much I am allowed to brag about this. Is it an 'I beat Battletoads' type of thing something less significant. (I assume its less)

Most of the other achievements I got via constant gameplay, with the gnawing exceptions of the 'landbaron' and the Lizzy boat one. Frankly there are never enough boats out there, but am I playing wrong with the landbaron thing?

And does anyone wish to inform me of what the 'shafernator' part of the achievement is from? I'm not very pop-culture savvy.

Ya I was hoping more people had really crappy computers that took like 2 minutes to reload. Why I didn't bother doing it that way. Either way requires a ******** amount of patience...

Well, it's a steam "achievement", so you haven't really achieved anything brag-worthy in the strict sense.

I don't know. I just don't really understand the point of these steam "achievements". They're just pointless fluff imo, but I know some people seem to like them.

Always amuses me when steam tries to use "achievements" as a selling point for a game. What exactly are you getting? I mean, maybe if you got 10% off your next purchase for completing them all, they might have some kind of meaning, but having them for their own sake just seems pointless.

So, yeah, I rate the "achievement" pretty low on the bragometer.

I'm sure there's a lot less than there should be, due to playing with mods not counting towards achivements.

Infoaddict for example is a musst. I would not play civ without it. Why they would not include those graphs in the game is something that I still can not understand. And now they add them... but only after the game ends. Ridiculos

I guess achievements aren't the biggest deal with PC gamers? I know many people who like them, though and strive to complete them all, so you are not alone.

Can't help you with the shafernator, sort of out of that loop myself... Why would they include a pop culture reference anyway? Look who their target is, right? Lol

Maybe they mean Paul Shafer from David Letterman's show? Still don't get it. What's the award for?
