I somehow managed to purchase CIV VI 2 times.

Strange what I thought was a CIV VI purchase was not in 2016:
XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Sid Meier’s Pirates!, Ace Patrol Bundle, and Sid Meier's Civilization III Complete
Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth and Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth - Exoplanets Map Pack
X-COM: Complete Pack, Sid Meier's Civilization V: Scrambled Nations Map Pack, Sid Meier's Civilization V: Scrambled Continents Map Pack, and Sid Meier's Civilization V: Gods & Kings

First time was a licence key off someone on Ebay as I got a free $50 paypal voucher, they wanted my steam login and I said no. As far as I know it is still on my alternate account!

In 2023 Sid Meier's Ultimate Collection: One More Turn:
Sid Meier’s Civilization® VI
Sid Meier's Civilization VI: Gathering Storm
Sid Meier's Civilization VI: Rise and Fall
Sid Meier's Civilization VI: Civilization & Scenario Pack Bundle
Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth - The Collection
Sid Meier's Civilization V: Complete
Sid Meier's Pirates!
Sid Meier's Civilization IV: The Complete Edition
Sid Meier's Civilization III Complete
Sid Meier's Starships
Sid Meier's Railroads!
Sid Meier's Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies
Sid Meier's Ace Patrol
Sid Meier's Colonization (Classic)
Sid Meier's Covert Action (Classic)

Yeah, definitely get these as a humble bundle if you can find. I got the Apogee games one with pretty much everything.

0, and yet i possess the game with all DLCs thx to Epic Game Store.

As I bought Civ5 day one on Steam to be able to play multiplayer and found this was a huge disappointment, I didn't buy expansions nor Civ6, that anyway I found was lacking graphically.

I managed to get Civ7 on PS5 for 40€ though, but i resold it 30 with some difficulty. (took some time, and first I wanted to resell it 40 but didn't work) It happens that Civ franchise popularity in my country at least faded away with Civ7, as well as 4X's in general. I don't know if it's a worldwide phenomenon, but I guess Civ fanbase got split by Humankind, Old World, Ara : History Untold, etc. not to mention the other iterations of Civ franchise, like Civ6 that is still in a good shape apparently. I wonder what success would have a bundle of remasters or remakes of Civ1 & Civ2 on Steam. It seems some players (like me) are going back to the roots. It wouldn't hurt some Civ1 & Civ2 remakes, as devs could add things, but again it would be risky because Civ1 & Civ2 are Civ1 & Civ2, not Civ5.0.5. That's why I think that the devs are just not willing to do it.

For example, the mean to end stacks of doom would be to have the Civ3 combat system with the "all units in the stack die if only one defensive battle is lost" of Civ2. In Civ2, combats were quite predictable because of the system, you really didn't expect to lose a whole stack if you had a powerful defensive unit in it, or several. Plus, using railroads in enemy territory was a prayer for one sided offensive wars, I mean the offense was prior and the defense let alone basically. But... it was fun ! But maybe not as replayable as other games of the franchise. But I don't see it as a problem. People have less time to spare for video games, because they grew and got a job and kids. (except me LMAO) So, what's wrong with more fun and less replayability ? After all we want to move to something else at a point. There's plenty other video games. Foresee less content (aka number of civs and leaders, or uniques) but more fun. More immediate fun, even. Civ is an arcade game in its roots. It has become less so with Civ7, because it's a mess which has several important mechanics totally in the dark. (example : number of tiles between cities to be connected by a road. The funniest thing would be no limitation : it hasn't to be represented by a "road", a "path" would suffice)

Fun, fun, fun, and if it's too shortsighted, let's wait for Civ8 ! And so on... I know the fashion nowadays is creating a retention of players that could play the same game over and over for a decade or more. But I do think that the other way around is viable too, and that Civ should try to get to this road. It's not a free to play goddamit.

As to Civ6, last time I quit because i had to choose a dedication for a Dark Age. How do I get those age points goddamit ? I would have been disappointed if I would hit a normal age. So a dark age... and those dedication are useless. USELESS ! It's just pointed at me that I just chose something useless. NOT FUN ! Monumentality for golden age, that's what I want. And yet it's not always viable especially when i have low faith output. USELESS ! USELESS ! USELESS !

Twice, once for pc, and then for my iPad. It plays decent on iPad, and you can run some mods.
