I usually finish 90% of my games ......... the 10% is either that my kid needs me or that my girlfriend wants the computer (I hate saving games). I stay the whole way through a game, even if Im loosing. If I win then I expand my supremacy over the world while time lets me do it and if I loose I stay till the bitter end (even in MP, one thing I learned in playing games online is stay in the game even if you loose, you will get more respect if you stay that if you bail out at the first sings of defeat!)

Yes... those stack moving Wars are nothing for me... usually I get bored by a game around the time of gunpowder units. I have destroyed 1/3 of the civs by that time usually. But then you can just throw out so many units, cause there is not too much you can build in your Cities. On Monarch im also quite often loosing the Wonder Races just as Tech Races. But do Rock 'em in a War.

Id love to see something new to do in the Middle Ages and Moderntimes. Mayybe one Mod will do something like that one day... I myself are quite busy to do that right now ;)

I'd say 10%, because I mostly play on weeknights and don't have time to finish the game before dawn. ;)

Usually I just start a new game the next time I play. I only finish a game if I play on a weekend and do it in one sitting.

I don't know if "retiring" counts as finishing the game or not, but I went with 80%.

Most of my games are also modded, if that matters. :)

Fun fun!

not counting dumping games very early on after deciding my land is crap, i probs finish just about all, say 90%.

Like most people though, it tends to be the later game thats least interesting, usually a case of waiting to build a few things then turning the sliders from 100% research to 100% culture, or hitting enter between votes/spaceship parts. I still do it though, not playing on marathon for that long just to dump it upon confidence of victory.

The only game i ever finished was my first game, played on Noble and won around 1 AD. I usually get bored around cavalry, sometimes a little later. I've never seen a rifleman in an actual game, only in pictures.

I never even think about victory conditions. They make the game way too "single minded" and easy. So, because of that, I usually finish all of my games... and then keep playing them.

Hmm, looks like Firaxis didn't do very well on improving on this aspect of the game, seems to me that the mayority quits early, that's no good for a game, they should improve this next time. In fact they already tried to, but they did a poor job, if I may say so...
