how often does the great books appear?

i dont know about this but how often does the worlds greatest blah blah book apear?

can you change the frequency?

I think they appear in every 1000 year.
Changing it? I havent seen this thing in the editor...

I looked in the editor, and it doesn't look like you can change the frequency. There is, however, a file 'Great books.txt' in the Civ III\Text directory. You should be able to edit that. Also, it says there that it should appear every 1000 years in the ancient and middle ages and then every 500 years.

i was hoping i can change it to appear more often...
ill scan through and see if i can find a way to do that.

I believe what you can change in the text file is the name of the book and the name of the author, not the frequency.

It seems like it never appears for me... Maybe I just don't pay attention enough.
