How preorder works?

It's the first time I preorder a game on Steam, can anyone explain me how it works? It will download automatically on the 22th? Or what else?

If Steam is running and you are not currently playing a Steam game, most pre-orders will begin downloading at the appropriate time they become available. Most DLCs will download in the background even if you're playing a game; however, not sure how this works with expansions (especially since they moved this to DLC category under my Civ V base game).

But regardless, if you leave Steam running and go to bed (or work) it should download without requiring anything from you when the time hits.

How do I look up what that time is?

How do I look up what that time is?

Go to the Steam store page for G&K... mine says it'll be available in "June 18, 2012. Approximately 15 hours", so I'm assuming it will start at 11pm my time (which is midnight Eastern). Yours should say the date when and if close enough an approximate hour (might have to check Thursday/Friday for the hours though, but I expect close to midnight GMT for EU).
