how to add an extra playerble player

hi i want to be able to have 2 ppl play the game at once without a lan or net ect.
the idea is so that i can play someone eles on the the same com at the same time while still having cpu player's eg.
player 1 human
player 2 human
player 3 cpu
ect

i wanted to know is this possable and if so could some point me in the right way or more pls my guess would be that it is possible with some extra command line's or something but don't know how any help would be great thank u

It's called Hotseat, it's a start up option.

only prob is tryed it
pressed mulitplayer
loaded...
come up with th 4 metherds
pressed it and got the microsoft error message send error report ect..
can u possable shed some light so i know where to start pls

I don't know what to say, it works for me.

Are you running Conquests 1.22.

civ complete sure i have installed update's as well just checked other options same prob Q. could it be cos im useing wi fi
