How to change profile save path???

I found that the option settings profile can not be saved. After some investigation I figured out the problem is that the profile is saved under the user folder in "Documents and Settings", which in my case has a chinese name. Now I want to find out how to change the profile save path, but really frustrated I am frustrated after several hours googling.

pls anyone can help? Thans very very much.

btw, I do found out that I can change my user folder in "documents and settings" to another one, by some tricky registry editing, but that will reset many things and risky.

Yes I find the default path a very annoying (and frustrating) imposition. Why on Earth do we need more folders directories cluttering up the hard drive!! Just another irritating design decision [sigh}
