How to Change Starting Date

I have two very basic questions.


1) I'm trying to change the starting date of a mod (it starts in 1100 AD and I want to make it begin in 1204 AD, as I'm tweaking the scenario a bit).

I have tried to open the WBS with notepad.
It says: Turn 520 & Starting Date: -4000

Simply inserting the date (1204) in place of -4000 didnt.

Any clue?

2) Also, is there any way to increase the number of allowed civs?
This mod allows 28 and I would like to add two extra ones.
Adding the civ info on team 29 & 30 didnt work.

p.s. 3) I forgot ask: how do I change name and the leaderhead pic of existing leaders?
Once again I tried to implement these changes on the WBS but despite the editing the leaderhead names stay the same.
