How to combine mods?

Hi there,

I've been playing Civ4 for a while now; and I play many different mods. So I was wondering if there is any way I can combine different mods to make them function as one... For example, I want to be able to use my "GEM", (Giant Earth Mod) with the "Better BTS AI" mod.

I, too, would like to combine Wolfshanze with the bigger maps and longer speeds that Zappata provide (Hope I got the names right)

Better AI you say? Might as well add that too along with "Next War" lol

This is the wrong forum for questions, they should be posted in the main C&C forum.

Anyway, it all depends on how many files are changed by both mods; the less, the better. For example, I think Better AI is just a DLL, so provided that you don't have one in "GEM", then you can just copy one over the other and it should work perfectly. If both mods have a DLL, then you'll have to do some source file editing and compiling, which is not nice if you're not used to it.

So, I suggest you download WinMerge and compare the folders of both mods. It'll show you which files are only in one folder, and which clash. It's also great for merging XML and Python files.
