So I recently ibstalled Civ 4 + expansion packs onto my new, shiny PC. I have a disk copy, not Steam so I have to manually add it. Normally it's not a problem, I go into Prpgram Files and there it is, done. But this is different, in that there is no Civ 4 file in program files. There is a file in 'My Games' folder, but it does not have the .exe. The problem seems to be that it has installed the game into Games Explorer, something I presume is new to Windows 7. How can I end this madness and play on steam normally?

Have no clue what you mean by playing a non-steam game on STeam or why you would want to. What does it add? I've manually added games to steam and all it seems to be is a placeholder. There was no benefit to it that I can see. Maybe MP with some games, but Civ4 does not use Steam for MP.

Anyway, in Win 7, you have two Program folders. Check the one with (x86) at the end. The exe is in there.

I have no idea what Games Explore is in Win7. Not that something like that exists, but it has never come up in the many games I play on my machine.

I sometimes like to talk to people on steam.

And I'm afraid the .exe isn't in there. Weird, really.
