I use kinboats armor but when I lower the "hip" y axis, it just moves the whole paperdoll instead of keeping the feet on the floor, like the normal paperdoll male does.

how do I get it to work like that? :P

I don't know Poser 7 but in Poser 5 you could select "Drop to floor" and the unit went back to the ground whatever you did before and regardless of the animations applied. You may have to do it for each frame though. Is there something similar in Poser 7 ?

uhm, I've never actually done this

how do I do this..? >.>

I only have Poser5, but this is how to turn on the IK Chains—or turn them off, for that matter

1. In Poser, open the Hierarchy Window, which lists all of the figures and props in your scene. Click Window > Hierarchy Editor

2. Within the list of figures and so forth, find the figure whose IK Chains you want to turn on/off.

3. Under the hierarchy for this figure, you will see a list of IK Chains associated with this figure; I believe the list appears after all of the figures body parts have been listed. The list of IK Chains might be collapsed (i.e., not visible); if so, expand the list.

4. Next to each IK Chain is a box. To turn on an individual IK Chain, click the box next to the chain's name. Or, uncheck it to turn it off.

I'm attaching a screen shot of the Hierarchy Window, showing IK Chains turned on for both legs of Kinboat's paperdoll. Having these IK chains turned keeps the feet in place as other body parts (e.g., the hips) move. The Right Foot and Left Foot body parts are then moved by changing the x- y- and zTrans properties—just as you would the hips or a prop. The IK Chains for the arms are off.

thanks utah, that worked!

also, themanuneed, what urs does is basically put the feet back on the floor, but if I'd move the hips after that, it still go through the floor if I'd lower the "y-axis" of the hip. now it just lowers the hips, bends the knees and keeps the feet on the floor :P
