Is there a way to find out which civ's are building what wonders?

I find myself re-loading saves when i'm playing for a cultural win and someone beats me to Pyramids, Parthenon or Oracle. It would be nice to know that to get the wonder i need to chop or whip!

Unless you have spies, no there is no way of knowing that.

What I usually do when i want to build wonders in a city, is dividing the tiles around it. One part is for the normal production and consists of farms, towns etc. The other part is for pure (wonder)production, such as mines, workshops. You can easily speed up construction by selecting those tiles in the city window.

This is my reseachcity Leiden in my latest game, with 2 National Wonders and 3 World Wonders:

If they have the tech that allows them to build it, it doesn't require any buildings (like aquaduct with Gardens) and aren't at war odds are they are building it. So if you can't trade them the tech (or its prerequisites) that allows them to build its :hammer: time.

Edit. Oops. Wrong info.

If you try trading for a technology that enables a particular wonder to be built, and when you scroll over the tech in the AI's window, it sometimes says in red "We have our reasons." I believe this means that they will not trade the technology because they are building a wonder and do not want to trade the tech for it. For example, if you try trading for Theology, but it is in red and the scrollover says "We have our reasons." it means that they are building the Sistine Chapel. This isn't a sure way to find out who is building what wonders though, since you need Alphabet to trade techs, and you cannot have the particular tech that enables the wonder.

Ok thnx everyone, i now know it's not possible to truely know what they are doing. But i have some middle to end game possibilities now!!
