Hello
for me civ6 is fun at the beginning but late game is boring because difficulty does not really scale well. At Immortal I always win but playing deity is not fun any more as I play a total different game than the AI.
To Improve AI performance and difficulty scaling over eras I combine following mods:
AI+:
better AI behaviour
Smoother Difficulty:
AI does not get start bonus instead it gets higher bonuses for production etc. This makes the game more fun. As with default settings you struggle at the beginning much more to have a boring lategame.
Biao's Strategic Resource & Tech Tree Mod:
no need of strategic resources instead you get bonus on combat power. The problem in civ games with much war is that AI does not look out enought for strategic resources enough and can not upgrade units. I often faced warriors in renaissance because of lack of iron. With this mod the game is much more challenging.
What do you do to make the lategame more interesting? Because usally no later than renaissance the game is already decided. I really would like have to the difficulty to increase much more over the eras as early and mid game are quite fun but during late game I just halfheartedly click the end turn button any more.
