How to play a scenario (or mod)

Could anyhone explain in brief to me how to play a scenarion. I manage to download and extract it but after that I do not have a clue about how to continue.

For example: I downloaded 600 BC and, by trying, I putted it in this folder

\My Documents\My Games\Beyond the Sword\Saves\WorldBuilder


and, somehow, it works.

To make it complicated, the spoiler :(

Spoiler :
Let's give a brief discription about the things we got:
- I have several user accounts (some restricted, some administrator)
- each account has a MyDocuments (with a mod folder) location but I also have the location were I installed the program (civ complete in my case)
- there is a custom_assets folder which applies to ? ? ? (the default rules)
- there are scenarios and there are mods.

I am lost


Another example. I want to play RFRE but when i put the folder in the way below it does NOT work and I can not play RFRE

\Programms\CivilizationIV\BeyondTheSword\PublicMaps\ should be better :).

I do not have the option to select the scenario. I only got the option to play the warlord scenarios
 
You should go to E:/..../Warlords/Mods/RFRE folder/Private Maps. There are 2 files in it, 200 AD and a 275 BC start. To play them, just double click on the one you want to play, and it starts immedeately.
If possible, I always start a scenario this way, since it automatically loads the mod and the scenario, which saves some time.
