We all know of the black landscape + eyes and teeth leaders.

Well for those you you who try to play with that, there is an easier way to do so (without solving the actual issue)

All you have to do is zoom out completly, too see the full entire terrain, then zoom in to see the value and units.

Everything but the terrain (and usulesss george washingtons) should show, so by simply switching back and froth between the highest and second highest zoom, you can overlap the two pictures in your brain to form a functioning game.

Might take a little longer to play out your turn, but it works...

i dun understand, but maybe its because i haven;t got the game yet haha..i m expecting the void of darkness to show up on my laptop though.

is there no other way around the terrain?

For all of us stuck with black terrain while saving up for a new video card, I have found this helps me to get around the problem of black terrain. On the Mini Map use the toggles on the top marked "Yields Display" and "Resource Display". You will see the map now shows you the food and production for each tile, and you will see a special circle icon at the location of any resource. Now you can at least make an informed decision on where to build your cities.
