Hello everyone,

While playing multiplayer, I have got frustrated when my submarine has been discovered and attacked. My submarine was in the coastal tile within two hexes from city. In opponent city there was artillery, balloon, general and governor Viktor. None of enemy units was on the coast tile next to my submarine. Therefore, theoretically my submarine should be undiscovered, even after atack.
The question is how hidden mechanics really works?
1. Is it true that only other "hidden units" can discover "hidden" units? Submarine, Caper, Nuclear submarine
2. Does Victor have any promotion to discover "hidden" units?
3. Can I discover "hidden" units by placing civilian/religious/support unit next to them?
4. Since air-balloon cannot be killed by submarine, can I move air-balloon to coast tile to discover "hidden" units?
5. My opponent has alliance with Nubia, so do I. Does it help him to see all my units including "hidden" ones?
6. Is there any wonder/city state that discover "hidden" units?

Maybe I have missed some mechanics. Please suggest

Thanks in advance

They slightly changed the mechanics a while back.. at the R&F release if I remember correctly.

1. No, the sight range is 1 for all units including privateers apart from for destroyers it istheir normal sight and City Centres and encampments it is within borders (I think) rather than sight. :cringe:
2. nope
3. Yep
4. Aye
5. No... Nubia signed an NDA with me
6. Nup
