Hi, unfortunatly, I think i will give up my current game because end turn are a too long wait. It should be around 10 seconds, maybe more.
I choosed a "huge" world (bad idea !). Except reduce world size, (and maybe number of AI) is there some others TIPS for speed up the game ?
Now I think I will try to collect every possible trick for that.
My computer is very good but it look it don't matter as the 32bits structure of the game look limited anyway.
I have another question : As it's now too late for changing options like world size, is there something I could do for speed up the game in my current game (so I could not give up).
Actualy I get 18 citys on my continent (Iam alone on it now, so I just build up and prepare next some ships expedition, and look for techs giving better ships).
18 citys is really a lot of micromanagement. The 4 most recents citys, I gave up and put it full automated build.
But each time some enforcer or medecine man pop in a city, I have to choose ability and choose for them a task, it's quite mechanical as I choose always same things (reduce ciminality, improve sanity).
Also some tasks are a bit of micromanagement too : build units and send it in new citys.
Some tasks are little blind : build an bull and send it to build a special building in another city (as I don't remember where I already sended it and where I still need some).
I tried to full auto also my mains citys, but It look like IA don't perform very well at that. As well, I dislike how IA manage citizens. Workers are not very well managed too in automode. Some workers go to sleep in a city instead of going in another city build something (as I send them order to build everywhere, not only in the current city).
For not helping I get problems with the city overviews, there is an editor where you can save columns choice and size, but when I reload my game, all previous saved configuration is gone.
As this is my first games on CiV4. Even I find the game excellent, I think the ergonomy is not great. It's become really difficult to manage with many citys.
