how to take a screenshot???

i do it as folows:

press ALT + print screen.

This saves your current screen as you see it on your monitor to the windows clipboard. You can ow paste it (ctrl+c) in a picture editing program.

edit: might be CTRL instead of ALT, i always forget and simply do both to be sure :mischief:

Press the print screen button in the top left hand corner.
If you are playing Civ, press the windows button (or Mac buton, depending on the keyboads) and open up a program, such as paint. Then paste it.
Welcome to CFC, btw. :wavey:

I'm not sure that CTRL-PrntScrn does anything. ALT-PrntScrn will copy the active window to the clipboard, and PrntScrn will do a screen shot of the entire screen. I would think that in Civ3 that ALT-PrntScrn and PrtnScrn would do the same. I've never actually tested this, since Civ3 is full screen to begin with.

There are also some excellent screen grabbers out there. Go to www.snapfiles.com and search freeware for screenshot. (Go to Search, and click 'Freeware only' under the search box) There are quite a few out there. I use ScreenPrint32, which can print, save as a file, or both. Pretty handy utility, as I don't have to switch out of Civ3 to use it. It overrides the PrntScrn fuction.
