How to use mod units

I have downloaded some new unit graphics but I don't know where to put the units into. I use Vanilla CIV 4. I have downloaded the Mig 29, SU 34, and AH 64.

this depends on what files exactly are part of the downloads - you should probably ask in the threads maintaining these units. But maybe someone else has a better answer

To implement new units into the game, you must at least modify these three files:
Civ4UnitInfos, Civ4UnitclassInfos, and Civ4ArtDefinesUnit.

There are plenty of tutorials around on how to modify them.
Just remember: DON't EDIT THE Original files make a mod instead.

GUIDE: How to Add New Units tutorial. This tutorial should really be sticked and linked from these main customization forums, and stickied in the Tutorial and Reference sub forums. The guide is clear, well written, and probably the best way to get aquainted to modding Civ for a begginer with limited or no experience, and after finishing it you have a very tangible result.
