Warm greetings!!!

A question is eating my mind! How do I win in 6th difficulty level. (emperor) I won many times in 5th level with different strategies. (democratic/communist/militaristic etc.)But I hardly can survive in the emperor level. And I "only" can survive with democratic strategy. I easily be wiped of with all other strategies... Please help me!

PS:Sorry for my improper english and wrong use of prepositions

Your grammar does not offend me. However, I am compelled to correct your understanding of civilization difficulty levels...

Cheiftan: level 0
Warlord: level 1
Prince: level 2
King: level 3
Emperor: level 4

I can understand you thinking emperor was level 4 or 5, but definitely not 6.

In any case, my main suggestion is that you read some of the other topics in here, especially the big active ones down the list there. Some of them contain quite complex instructions that you may find useful.

Here are the two most important things for beating emperor that you need to know:

1. Militarism is the best way to go. Keep your cities small, city improvement upkeep to a minimum, and the government to use is despotism. Grow fast, concentrate on military units. Just get the techs you need for all the good ancient military units (catapult, chariot, phalanx, legion, diplomat, trireme, cavalry) and crush your opponents with good ol' fashioned attrition. If you encounter a city that is too well defended, get a bunch of cheap units together and lay seige to it by covering up all of the squares surrounding it so that it can no longer produce food, trade, or resources.

2. If you really want a super high score, then conquer the world as soon as possible (as above), then stop just before you finish. When you think you have found the last enemy city, save the game and capture it just to be sure it is the last. Then go back to your save game, block the civ up with units so it cannot expand. Switch to democracy and cover the world with highly developed cities. Get all the wonders, go for as many future techs as you can (hundreds, if you can), and eventually launch the spaceship. As your civilization gets large, be careful about using the "Civilization Score" screen (F9) because it is not designed to handle scores that are too high and you could inadvertantly trigger a series of crippling bugs. If you must view your score, save first then view it and then reboot the game to reload before you viewed it.

Good luck!
