A world that never sees night, a world that constantly faces it's sun, tidally locked forever bound to its star:
I have not seen anyone make this type of map in CIV IV, so I'd be glad to have a crack at it! I made this map completely by hand and spent several hours making it as fun as possible haha.
This map won't be as "impossible" as the last two cooked maps I made, given that the land is amazing, but it does come with its challenges. I'll let you all figure this one out!
I had to work around the game's limitations so just imagine that the ice part up north is night and the southern part is eternal day (ignore the ice in the south lol):
Map Settings:
Size: Large (To compensate for the inhospitable land)
Climate: Day and night side are two different hells, the twilight zone is more temperate with a narrow tropical area (I did make a mistake where I should've put the jungles by the deserts)
Medium sea level
No huts/events
Immortal Difficulty
Tips:
- There are some areas with huge amounts of gold if you're willing to explore the deserts!
- The southernmost part is inhospitable due to intense heat and radiation from the sun. There is a pretty nice large habitable strip of land where you can play like any normal map!
- Barbs are going to become a major issue if you're near the massive desert side, better protect yourself!
- Because the habitable zone is so narrow, you will find a lot of food in a concentrated area. You get a great start, but so does everyone else! Make the best of it!
- The game starts in the classical era because I had to add calendar when I was hand-crafting the world so I could zoom out properly with the world-wrap thing that it unlocks.
