How well does the AI play???

I know that we have had several threads about the AI and stuff but I would very much like to know if I'm the only one who has experienced that the AI seems to play "better" the better I play???
I am currently playing a very good game and I have maxed out my powergraph earlier then ever before - but all that it has really gotten me is an Egyptian Civ that plays better then I have ever seen an AI do before.... I mean their powergraph maxed out before 1000AD - and they have just conquered two others Civs in a matter of turns...

It seems to me that the computer sacrificed two of it's Civs to get one larger and bigger Civ that could better compete with me - and I don't like it!!!

The A.I can be great value...and yes, the better you play the better the A.I does very often.

In multiplayer the a.i does very well...when me and my bro lan multiplay the A.I can get way ahead of itself and need joint maimage!

Though it is only to be joint so as the spoils are equal and so a premature all our brotherly war doesn't begin.

Sounds like you and your bro might be like Allies and the Soviets - friends at first, cold war later.

Anyway, i think some strategic points are cool in the AI, even like transporting units overseas and stuff, although not at a large scale.

Cheatin helps the AI, anyway.

Well this is a normal single player game, but the strange thing is only a few turns after I went to war with the Russians the Egyptians went to war with the Americans and the French and they managed to conquer them faster than I have ever seen the AI do before - just look at this powergraph!!!
