I haven't tried rushing yet, but thanks for the info. In my current "huge/16 civ game" I am playing on large-land-mass archipeligo, which led to one large continent streched around like noodles with a bunch of inland seas that aren't connected. I am at 1200 A.D. now, and I have refining and sanitation. No other civ is in the Industrial Age yet. Sadly, I don't have Oil, but the Russians are weak, on my border, and have 3 Oil, so the writing is on the wall. After than, I want Tanks. I am building a factory in most cities at this point. There are still 5 intact, threatening civs, but my score is at about 1150 while no one else is above 800 yet. Looks like I'll be taking on the world in about 30 turns or so. I probably can't lose at this point, but it doesn't seem like a slam-dunk. I want to win as a Democracy, so I have to make my wars quick and decisive and get back to peace. I *do* have a Great Leader saved to build the U.N. when the time comes. Turns are taking about 3 minutes now (1.4 ghz Athlon, 640 meg, Win ME).
