Humankind Game by Amplitude

Why is "Polish" culture in the early modern era not "Polish - Lithuanian"? We got "Austro - Hungary" in the industrial, so personal union of two peoples is not unreasonable culture.
I'm not privy to the details of how this decision was made, but to my knowledge this is related to various potential scenarios* we'd ben considering.

*emphasis on "potential". Amplitude and their community team do not confirm or deny the existence of scenarios at this point. Seriously, we have no idea whether or not we'll have scenarios in the final product.

The only model I dislike in pre-order bonus even if "only cosmetics", are the ones which are exclusive ... forever. If you miss it, you will never have it.
I, of course, have no idea what will happen with Humankind, but if I recall correctly, pre-order content for the Endless games was eventually made available to everybody. My memory on that is fuzzy, though, since I had bought all the Endless games during Early Access so always had that content.

Yes I bought Endless Space 2 and Legend on 'release' meaning after Early access and exclusive content eventually made its way to everyone. Cant say when but they did eventually.

A peak of competitive World Deeds as shown in the Stadia Opendev:

Spoiler :
HUMANKIND™ - OpenDev Beta (2).png

Although this list of World Deeds is a work in progress, it already shows a lot of late-game discoveries such as nuclear test* and moon landing.

*It might suggests that one needs to drop world's first nuclear weapon in their own territory as a nuclear test in order to accomplish that Deed.

So,brave pillagers of Paris in that OpenDev scenario were basically Assyrian Vikings?

yep, in some way. In openDev, the +2 siege engines was tied to the viking Stormblood trait anyway. But we were informed than it was not part of the viking trait, but probably tied to someone else.
Assyrians will be a fun pick.

Dear devs, make the mid - to - endgame decent and you have convinced me to this game's superiority over civ6 by this reason alone.

Considering it works as a far more competitive Score Victory, the late game certainly looks more competitive.

Plus not being forced to manage 20+ cities if you go wide.

While playing OpenDev (whether the Stadia one or the three-scenario Steam one), does anyone notice that the music depended on which culture you're playing in the game, with variations of the main theme during intervals? That's a nice touch, and I can't wait to hear the music of the other cultures. I wonder what the contemporary music per culture would sound like?

I finished a Huns game today and all their musics are some very beautiful pieces played on some bowed instrument (I don't know if it is Erhu, Sihu, or Morin khuur, but clearly some Eastern Steppe-origined bowed instruments; I would imagine the Mongols using a similar music). Currently my favorite and sincerely suit the domination game.

Yeah, they're using the erhu-alike from Mongolia. You can see the lady (who almost definitely reprised her role here) playing it for the last EL expansion:

That's a great thing to know. It seems she is playing a Morin khuur in the video - that instrument is called Horsehead Fiddle 馬頭琴 in Chinese and you can clearly see the horsehead here.

maybe Achaemenid now ? or Achaemenid Persians.

I can't believe than we will have trenscended Persians fighting Persians.

A vip said than industrial Persians were named Afsharid at a moment. And it's smart to more focus the Qajar, even if the unit is a reference to Nader Shah.

But I don't understand why just not go with Iranians, which is a right word, and totally fit with Qajar period.
