It takes at least two whole tooltips to be explained.Ugh, the UI is soooo intuitive! I can't wait to try this at home!
What's morale by the way in this context?

Morale is how willing your people are to fight against that other player. If they cause grievances, you can demand compensation, and if they refuse to do so then you gain Morale. Also, if you declare war then you will lose Morale, and each successful military operation gives Morale. If you drain your opponent's Morale then they will be forced to accede to your demands.
Well, you got plenty of answers already... So now how are we going to get a truthful survey out of CivLuvah? Did you all think about that when answering him? What's morale by the way in this context?
I believe that is the Hittites only, not all Militarist cultures, because it is the Legacy Trait. And I believe that Militaristic Factions start with higher morale or have some kind of morale 'bonus', which makes, as it should be, fighting them a little bit tougher in the long run - unless you are very successful, they can outlast you.

Fame and Diplomacy are the big focus of this OpenDev, so "Did you understand Morale?" is a good chunk of the survey.
Yes, all those bonuses apply in game. They're ways to customize the avatar you see in the civilization screen and diplomacy, as well as the icon representing your civilization (where we are currently using the culture specific placeholders).
"It's just cosmetic!" was never an argument I bought into. If the way our characters/units/whaever look in a game didn't affect our enjoyment, they wouldn't sell.
