I have been playing Civ 3 since it came out. No other civ is better! Exept maybe civ 5, but i yet got to try it. So anyway after seeing the city graphics from all of these games I thought they were pretty good until i saw Kyriakos graphix. This man should be cid's personal graphix artist. I downloaded all of his awesome cities and i was so exited.
HERE IS WHERE MY PROBLEM STARTS! I want to use his ancient, medieval, and industrial cities for my game. I dont know how to do that. I downloaded some utility program from the site that lets me see the art inside the PCX file and then copy and paste to another PCX (But i dont know what im doing and i thought it would work). After i got my art ready so that i could see ancient, medieval, and industrial cities as i play, i decided to test it. When i built a city in the editor it looked as if i pasted some random city pic on to it
. It had a pink background and it looked clearly fake.
Can anyone one help me? The closest thing i have done to modding in this game has been changing civ colors. I dont know anything.
