Does anyone know if you can, like in Civ2, give units to another civilization?

Also, is there an access screen where you can find the demographics of a city/civilization like civ2 had, where it tells you literacy, etc.?

Thanks:confused:

1) As far as I know, there is no simple way to do this. However, if you give a city to another civ, any units in the city are given at the same time.

2) Hit F11

Good question... I had an enemy ask for a worker (one of theirs I think) when we negotiated for peace. I don't recall seeing an option in the trade menus for Units though... I agreed and off the worker went. :)

You can trade workers...but only if they are in your capital.

As far as units switching sides if you give or trade away a city I am reasonably sure that is not the case. If a city converts because of culture it immediately forms the best defensive unit that it can based on tech/resources. If a city with units switches because of culture all of those units are lost, you (or the AI if you are unlucky) just gets the one defender. If a city is given to you by an AI (say on your turn when you KNOW that its got defenders) it loses every unit in the city, though the people aren't resistors...and it does not get a defending unit.

As far as I can tell, other than workers, you cannot give/trade/steal/bribe a unit from another civilization, nor can they do the same with yours.
