I don't think I've ever seen this said anywhere, but I ran into an odd situation, I can't win. I have all the victory conditions turned on, no one has won yet and yet I can't fulfill any victory conditions.
I'm the Iroquois and control a large portion of the land. Not enough for Domination victory, but sizeable nonetheless. Around 2021, the Egyptians start building a spaceship. Ok I thought, I have 99,600 culture points or so, so no problem, culture victory for me. 10 turns later, I have something like 110,000 culture points, no win. Odd since everyone is "inspired" by my culture. Ok, I thought maybe someone has more than half of my culture preventing the win. By now the Egyptians have 6 components built and it's 2037. I thought, I'm not going to let them beat me in the Space Race then and finish my spaceship by 2042. The Egyptians haven't even finished their 7th component yet. Great I thought, I hit F10 to see my spaceship, no go. I hit the little "View Spaceship Button", nothing. Ok, I wait a turn. Still can't access my spaceship. Fine I thought, I'll wait for 2050. An hour later, 2050 rolls around (I decided to wipe out another Civ in the meantime).
BTW, the Aztecs whom were weak compared to me (the Military advisor told me so) decided to attack in 2047, with no hopes of winning just to be annonying. So I nuked his capitol to the stone age
Unfortunately it made those last 3 turns takes 4x longer than they should have been. Stupid AI.
Anyway, 2051 rolls and I still haven't won yet. I'm at least 600 points higher in score than than 2nd place. I own the UN, no vote has been called. There are still plenty of civ's left and no one have 2/3 of the land. What's up?
