Greetings to the community.

Whatever your arguement with whats in or out of ciV, I, personnally, can't wait for
A NEW CIVILIZATION GAME!!

Looking back, i remember being very sceptical about cIVs release. Having played civ3 the most out of all of them I reacted with horror at some of the the concepts. When I eventually tried it I hated it and played civ3 until BTS came out (then never looked back) along with Rise Of Mankind.

Religion!? oh no, not that can of worms.
Bombardment gone!? ridiculous, been in warfare since a caveman picked up a stone and threw it at somebody.
Attack and Defense ratings gone!? Unit promotions? (should have both).

We could discuss these points and more (I am sure they were) alongside hex, 1UPT
city states etc. but as I have said, I am looking forward to a NEW ciV.

I love cIV more than my mother, but play it so much I need something completely different, strategies, complexities, AI, hex, and every scenario that just the 1UPT will throw up.

I am sure I may even be a little disappointed when I first load a new world, but one thing I have learnt is that Sid doesnt put his name next to duff games ( I even loved
Covert Action!!)

I look forward to the community to sort and tweak and add in the coming years to move this great game onwards and upwards.

Lets wait till its installed and we can have a good moan, whine, laugh and WOAH!! at
ciV, I for one am prepared for the change, see you on the boards.

Well that will be interesting, I have posted on another thread for things to be included and I summise now that units will be even more special to the player so more customisation would be welcome, y'know like Alpha C?

you will get back things, like the diff. attack and defense values, with civ5 :)

Really? I first hated the change to strength, but now I´ve gotten so used to it it would be strange going back to the old ways. I thought the different bonuses and abilities of the units worked to replace Att/Def...

:undecide: I don't know what to make of that. There looks like there's so much change to the combat system in store in Civ 5, one can only wait to see how it all plays out.
