I have tried about 30 times to make one, and it just isnt working
I can not get it to work
I have been trying to make a Spartan Empire
can someone please do this for me
or point out a mod to me that doens change everything in the game like the paleopalessian wars one does.

I want to play the game like normal, but I want to have a Spartan Civilization
I want the starting techs to be agriculture and bronze working(or whatever the first metal working one is)
I want the leader to be Leonidas
and i want the special unit to be Spartan Warrior (spearman with a strength boost and a city attack boost) that I can build the first turn if I want, basically have it replace just a regular warrior but not with the same graphic

PLEASE can someone do this for me or explain to me in very basic ways how to do this I keep reading the guides and I am getting nothing...everything I do fails

Your best bet would be to find a minimalist modular new-civ mod, and simply change what needs to be changed... like "Civ-X" to "Sparta" and the UU and UB.

Yeah what wolfshanze said would be the best way to do it, you also learn by doing that as well. There is a good "spartan" unit out there that would fit exactly what you want. Its in Varietas Delectat as the Greek Heavy Footman, for the graphic at least. As far as what you should do for the starting techs; Agriculture and Mining. And the only real way to make it feesable to have a unit you can build from the start would be to make the unit a warrior, but that is stupid. I'd make the spartan special unit replace the Maceman so its a counter to the Greek Phalanx if I were you.

Just download another modular civ and change the tags and text to match what you want to do.
