Easy. Vassal like 2-4 civs and build the UN...or just run religion and get big enough such that people who like you vote you in the normal way.

I've been bored with Civ 4 lately so I've been doing a lot of conquering.
Last game I had a Domination victory as Genghis Khan, now I'm playing as Shaka going for the same goal.

Play Saladin, choose Monty, Shaka, Ragnar, Alexander, Napoleon and Genghis among your opponents and select raging barbarians. That should make life interesting.

Just use the Random option. The game will chose for you.
